'Fleuri is a trio with a difference...Their approach to early music is fresh and light-hearted...' Tilford Bach Society

The dynamic ensemble Fleuri formed in 2002 since graduating from the Royal College of Music in London, where they were the winners of the Century Fund Prize for Early Music. Specialising in repertoire of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, they share a passion for the music of Handel's London and folk-inspired baroque music from around the British Isles and Eire. A distinctive feature of some of their performances is the wearing of sumptuous eighteenth century costume designed and made especially for the ensemble, adding to the visual spectacle and enriching the concert experience for audience and performers alike.

Fleuri's presentations are diverse, from full concert recitals to choir accompaniments and background music for special occasions, and often take place in the magical surroundings of historical buildings such as Windsor Castle and Cobham Hall, Kent. They have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Chester Summer festival and the London Handel Festival. Recent concert venues have included St George's church, Hanover square; St George's Church, Bloomsbury, the Handel House Museum and for the Tilford Bach Society.

The ensemble is also keen to expand their educational outreach work. Workshops and demonstrations are aimed at both children and adults, introducing them to the sounds of the viola da gamba, harpsichord and recorder. The 18th century can be brought to life with Fleuri's wonderful costumes.
